During the semester, we host a bi-weekly workshop Mondays 12-1:30pm. For Fall 2026, the Qual Methods Brownbag will meet in person in Sewell  7130 and in Sewell 8108 (Havens Wright room) in the Spring. Hybrid participation is available by email request.

We strive to create a space where researchers using qualitative methods can discuss methodology, share research, and learn together in a supportive environment. We also host workshops, panels, and guest speakers throughout the academic year. Our workshop is open to everybody – regardless of research experience or departmental affiliation.  

Students also have the option to register for the workshop (Soc 875: Res in Qualitative Methodology) for credit. For more information about registering for credit, please contact the graduate student coordinator.
