Processing section changes

Section changes are for students already enrolled in a course. We cannot make any of these changes ourselves. Students should be directed to request a section change on the Sociology Enrollment Help Page:

http://www.ssc.wisc.edu/soc/ugrad/a/sociology-enrollment-help/

If approved, a permission will be added and students will then make the swap of sections. All that is necessary is to know which of two procedures you want to follow:

  1. Let the Undergraduate Program Coordinator process all section changes as openings arise, using the students’ listed reasons to prioritize cases by need.
  2. Require the TA of the destination section to approve every change. In this case, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator would forward each request to you and await a response.

A Qualtrics survey will go out in late August on this question.

Certain changes must be initiated by the student in their MyUW Student Center. We cannot do any of these for the student.
