(May 25, 2018) NSFH Wave 3 is now fully curated at ICPSR. Users can download ASCII, R, tab-delimited, SPSS, SAS, and Stata data files, as well as PDF versions of the study documentation. NSFH3 data and document files are also available from the Data and Information Services Center's Online Archive.

There are no record layout files for NSFH3 data (corresponding to those for NSFH1 and NSFH2; the data files are in SPSS .save format.  Users who want ASCII data files can generate them in SPSS which will provide a record layout.
