The primary impetus for the WordPress site is that it will allow me to develop “interactive textbooks.” Here are examples of the kind of things that I want to do:

Interactive Learning – WordPress can help deliver flashcards, interactive graphics, feedback on questions (multiple choice, fill in the blank), avatars, and so forth. For now, we are not pursuing “smart” capabilities where user feedback is recorded. There is some interesting work out there on “intelligent tutoring systems” but that is for another day.
