Mail: Dealing With Problems

Sibling Mail: Dealing With Problems Module

OVERVIEW

This module presents the respondent with 17 potentially stressful life
events/problems and asks: (1) age at first (or only) occurrence, (2) age at
last occurrence, and (3) if event has ever occurred. From this four (4)
summary variables were constructed for each event.

    DD___ARE: Age at first/only occurrence
    DD___BRE: Age at last occurrence
    DD___CRE: Did event ever occur?
DD___DRE: Did Sibling Respondent give an illogical age pattern?

Additional items (18) focus on specific coping strategies and/or reactions to
difficult or stressful life events.
