Interviewer Observations and Characteristics

2020 ILIAD Interviewer Observations and Characteristics Module           

OVERVIEW

The interviewer observations module pertains to the short interview and
includes information about the interaction between the interviewer and
participant as well as information about the interviewers themselves. 

Interviewers were asked whether the participant had difficulty hearing, whether
the participant was confused or distracted, and whether they interacted with
someone other than the participant during the call. Many of these telephone
interviews occured when interviewers were working remotely because of the
Covid-19 pandemic. Thus we also asked them if there were any techology issues
during the interview. 

Data were also collected by the UW Survey Center containing information about
the interviewers themselves. We include the sex and age of the interviewer.
