WLS Codebooks

Note: Codebooks contain frequency data from the private data release. For some variables, these differ from the frequencies in the public release. Variables that differ between the public and private versions include "(not available on public release)" as part of the variable description, or a note indicating the difference between the public and private versions.

Mail: Values and Attitudes

Graduate Mail: Values and Attitudes Module

OVERVIEW

This module replicates personality (the Big 5) and psychological well being
items from the 2004 mail survey. Although the majority of scales and items have
been retained, some may have been slightly altered or removed altogether.
Additionally, new items have been added to capture participants' perceptions of
male social roles, gender roles within marriage, and their attitudes towards
old age and aging.
