If the respondent was married at the time of their last interview, the marriage module begins by asking if the respondent is still in the previous marriage. If the respondent is not, or if the respondent was not married at the time of the last interview, the respondent was asked a series of questions about each marriage since the last interview. - If the respondent was currently married, a series of questions about the respondent's current spouse was asked. These questions include details regarding the spouses employment, retirement, and health, as well as the relationship between the respondent and the spouse. This data may actually be available. --CORRECTED: only 1 case is not ascertained now. 5/25 (CMW) - GC013SP, Current spouse's age when married: Seven cases have suspiciously low ages. --NOW 8, can't do anything about it really - GC042RE, etc.: Four cases have a termination status of 1 (still in marriage) for a marriage prior to the current one. --CORRECTED: R usually reported old marriage, 5/25 (CMW) - GC142RE, etc. (century-month of divorce): If the marriage ended before 1992, this was was ascertained. Date of divorce was not collected in 1992, and details of marriages that ended before the last interview were not collected in this round. --can't do anything about it, leave na - Several variables have cases that are not yet coded.
