COR229a Combining responses to vocational and technical questions in 1975 In the 1975 survey, graduates were asked about vocational and technical training in Q14 and Q15. It appears that they did not distinguish between vocational and technical in a systematic way. So their responses to the two questions were combined with the following priority. First, all programs with "substantial" type of training codes in Q14 appeared in the order they were reported; Second, all programs with "substantial" type of training codes in Q15 appeared in the order they were reported; Third, all programs in Q14 that were reported but had 997 or 999 for the type of training code follow next; Fourth, all programs in Q15 that were reported but had 997 or 999 for the type of training code follow next; Fifth, if they reported fewer than six programs, the remaining spaces were filled in with 998s. FOR THE EIGHT INDIVIDUALS WHO REPORTED MORE THAN SIX TRAINING PROGRAMS: The decisions were made individually - selecting the most "substantial" programs. In each case, it included the first four reported in Q14. Programs five and six came from either the fifth report in Q14 and the first reported in Q15 OR reports one and two from Q15.
