An SSCC account is needed to access the SSCC’s services, including both our computing resources and statistical consulting.
All SSCC accounts are associated with a UW-Madison NetID. You’ll be asked to log in using your NetID so we can pull information like your name and email address from the campus directory. If you do not have a UW-Madison NetID, contact the Help Desk for assistance.
Most SSCC accounts are sponsored by a research center, department, school, or other group. You’ll be asked to identify the group(s) you are affiliated with. If you are interested in becoming an Individual Member of the Cooperative and paying for your own account, you are very welcome to Join the SSCC.
Accounts for students taking classes that use SSCC resources are generated automatically based on class lists. If you are taking such a class and did not get an SSCC account, first check your email and make sure you didn’t get a message with information about your account. If you can’t find such a message, contact the Help Desk for assistance. You don’t need to request an account here.
