My primary responsibility is to lead the investigation, design, and implementation of a new admissions exam for the Bachelors of Science in Education (BScE) program – Luxembourg’s teacher training program for elementary school education.

2007-2010
Research Analyst
NAEP-ESSI, American Institutes for Research, Washington, DC USA.
Helped support and oversee Background Variable Item Development by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) study. In this role I reviewed and made recommendations regarding the development of background questionnaires for all NAEP surveys (Main NAEP, LTT, HSTS, NIES, and TUDA) improving the quality of background variables in three areas: student reporting categories, contextual and policy information, and subject-specific information. I also led the research and development of a new, innovative, measure of socioeconomic status for NAEP. Additional activities included: providing technical and content support for reviewing each stage of development for all operational and pilot student, teacher, school and other background questionnaires including tracking item development, and preparing meeting and briefing materials; conducting literature reviews, conducting small-scale investigations, planning or overseeing methodological studies, and responding to requests for information.
