American Sociological Assocation--Professional organization of sociologists. Long ago, before juvenile-ization of American humor, it used to be called the American Sociological Society.

SWS Factsheets--A variety of informative papers on various gender-related topics written by members of the professional organization, Sociologists for Women in Society.

Sociosite--Website maintained at the University of Amsterdam with social science resources from all over the world. Not always up to date, but extensive.

Contexts--Magazine published by the American Sociological Association and intended for a general audience. The website is getting better. See especially the blog section.

Sociological Images--Blog started by former UW sociology grads now affiliated with Contexts. The emphasis is on images and their social significance.

Scatterplot--A blog from a number of sociologists, often about sociological stuff.

Obama: A More Perfect Union--Outstanding speech on race in the United States that includes a number of important sociological insights.

Frontline--PBS documentary series on a variety of social topics. You can watch the episodes online.

This American Life--Weekly radio show on NPR. The fabric of American life heard through top-notch story-telling.

National Geographic--I know, it's not exactly sociology. But for the sociologically-minded, it has interesting coverage of societies and social phenomena from around the world. A consistent theme is the crucial relationship between social structures and the environment.
