  • * GJ7. Steven Cotgrove And Andrew Duff. Middle-Class Radicalism And Environmentalism (From Environmentalism, Middle Class Radicalism And Politics, The Sociological Review 1980). Survey of British environmentalists, builds on Inglehart, shows that a movement can be middle-class based without expressing middle-class interests. Page 73 includes a chronology of the US environmental movement.

Hughes (1984). “The Moral Basis of Moral Reform: Status Discontent vs. Culture and Socialization as Explanations of Anti-Pornography Social Movement Adherence.” American Sociological Review 49(1 Feb): 86-99.
