I worked on the Wisconsin food security project headed by Judi Bartfled at the University of Wisconsin at Madison in the summer of 2012. I devoted most of my efforts to developing a website with mapping and other data depiction capabilities (Wisconsin food security website), including writing the accompanying documentation, collecting the underlying data, and assisting with website design. My time with the project provided valuable experience presenting data and research to a non-academic audience. I also acquired a taste for research on food security, particularly related to food deserts.
