I am an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Center for Demography of Health & Aging at University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am on leave from my position of associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Institute for Health, Health Care Policy & Aging Research at Rutgers University. I graduated from Connecticut College, and received my Ph.D. from UW-Madison. My research and teaching interests focus on sociology of the life course, aging, social psychology, and gender.
