Course Information

Synopsis

Why are some countries richer than others? What are the effects of fiscal and monetary policy on macroeconomic aggregates? What are the primary causes of expansions and recessions? What explains the behavior of interest rates and exchange rates? The purpose of Intermediate Macroeconomics is to throw some light on these and many other questions by looking at real world phenomena through the eyes of Neoclassical growth theory.

Assignments

There will be 4 homework assignments. Students should work on them individually. All assignments are due at the beginning of class. Late assignments will not be accepted. If a student cannot attend class on the day the assignment is due, he should turn in the assignment to my mailbox the previous day.
