OVERVIEW

Information about the Graduate-Spouse Respondent's depression experience was
collected in the following manner:

Life-time experiences of depression have been aksed to Graduate-Spouse
Respondents who were randomly selected to answer on alcohol comsumption and
depression experiences (ALCFLAG = 1).

The 2004 Graduate, Graduate-Spouse, Graduate-Sibling share same depression
module.

These depression modules are replicates of 1992 Graduate depression module.

AU002RE-AU012RE       Ever depressed, age, symptoms. 

AU013RE               Count of depression episodes lasting two weeks
                      or more.

AU014RE-AU015RE       Length of depression episode for respondents
                      who had ONLY ONE episode.

AU016RE-AU019RE       Average duration and average time between 
                      episodes for respondents who had more than
                      one depression episode.

AU020RE-AU021RE       Age at first and last episodes of depression.

AU022RE-AU023RE       Psychological well-being between depression
                      episodes.

AU024RE               Count of depression symptoms.

AUA24RE               Number of valid responses for AU024RE.
