WordPress is an open-source publishing platform that allows users to easily make aesthetically pleasing websites and blogs. Through the use of themes, widgets, and plug-ins (of which there are literally thousands of options) you can create a website to fit any need, from simple to complex. No special software or knowledge of HTML is required to create and maintain a WordPress site, an entirely online interface allows easy maintenance from anywhere in the world.
This training session will introduce you to the WordPress interface and show you how to get started with your site. Topics including account request, setting up your site as a website vs. a blog, adding your content, applying themes, and adding widgets and plug-ins will be covered.
