SAS 1: Interface, Grammar, and Basic Stats

This workshop has sessions on multiple days. You should plan to attend all the sessions.

An introduction to programming SAS using the SAS windows interface.

We will discuss the basic parts of a SAS project and the files used to document your work.

We then discuss the grammar of the SAS language, and take a first look at SAS's extensive Help documentation.

Finally we take a brief overview of some fundamental reporting and statistical procedures: means, frequencies, crosstabs, correlation, t-test, anova, regression.
