DoIT STS Introduction to NVivo

DoIT's Software Training for Students is holding an introductory NVivo course in our 3218 lab and has invited our student users to participate.

NVivo offers a powerful set of tools for organizing, classifying, and analyzing qualitative research data. The following topics will be introduced:

  • Introduction to the NVivo workspace
  • Creating a new project
  • Importing documents and multimedia
  • Classifying by themes (i.e. coding)
  • Capturing comments and ideas
  • Querying data
  • Charting and modeling data
  • Exporting and printing

This course is designed for new users.

As Software Training for Students is funded by segregated fees taken from tuition, you MUST be a currently enrolled undergrad or graduate student to take this course. If you are a faculty or staff member looking for NVivo training, please register for the SSCC run Hands on Introduction to Nvivo
