Research Interest Statement:
My research and teaching interests span the sub-fields of sociology of the life course and the family, inequality, demography, and quantitative methods. My interests have been centered around four themes: (1) the interrelationships of family, work, economic well-being, and gender roles; (2) the social, demographic, and economic consequences of social change for individuals and families in the U.S.; (3) differences in the nature and implications of marriage and cohabitation; and (4) methodological problems in analyzing non-experimental data.
