The Department of Sociology depends on the generosity of alumni and friends to ensure the continued excellence of our programs and resources. We invite you to help us achieve our goals for the future by contributing to any of the following funds. All contributions made by private individuals or groups directly to the department are processed through the UW Foundation.

Making Contributions On-Line

Working together with the UW Foundation, we are able to offer you "On-Line Giving" through a secure web site. Below is a list of currently established funds. When you are ready, just click on the link for the donation page, use the text field in the section for "Gift Designation" to specify the fund you would like to support, and then fill in your personal information.

Department of Sociology Community Fund

Designated specifically to establishing and reaffirming a sense of community among the faculty, staff and students within the department.

The Joann and Joe Elder Undergraduate Fund in Sociology

The fund benefits the Department of Sociology for undergraduate student financial support. Joann Elder was the first undergraduate student advisor in Sociology. When she retired after 30 years, the Sociology Department established this scholarship in her honor.
