APL chartbooks use Census data to highlight demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of a population through a series of charts, maps, and tables. Reports inlcude similar sources and media, but may also include analysis and or modelling techniques used to discern relationships that underlie trends in the data. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are often central element in how we represent and analyze data. APL services in the realm of GIS include graphical representation of data; overlays with natural resource or other geophysical data; interactive online map serving; spatial statistical and modeling; and a number of other customized GIS applications that are tailored to clients’ specified needs.
