About the Researchers
Katherine Frank earned her Ph.D. from Duke University in the Department of Cultural Anthropology and
is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin,
Madison. She is the author of G-Strings and Sympathy: Strip Club Regulars and Male Desire (2002)
and has written on sexuality, gender identity, marriage, the sex industry, feminism, eating disorders,
and the body.
John DeLamater earned his Ph.D at the University of Michigan, and has been conducting research on
sexuality for 30 years. He is currently a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of
Wisconsin, Madison. He is the co-author of a major textbook, Understanding Human Sexuality,
and the editor of The Journal of Sex Research. |
