Rees, Albert. 1974. "An Overview of the Labor-Supply Results." Journal of Human Resources 9(2):158-180.

The purpose of this article is to provide a summary of the findings of the Graduated Work Incentive Experiment on labor supply, and to do so in a way that makes them accessible to readers who are not concerned with the finer points of methodology and technique. A more complete account of the methods of analysis will be found in the articles that follow. As a necessary preface to the summary of findings, we begin with a discussion of what we expected to find, and why.

The author is Professor of Economics, Princeton University.
