Effective October 2010, any advanced electives offered by the Department of Economics that reach capacity and close will offer students an opportunity to place their names on an online waitlist from which any ensuing openings will be filled.
All waitlisted classes will be visible on a Student's Enrollment Center, designated by a yellow triangle. Courses without a yellow triangle are either open to enrollment (the green circle) or closed and without a waitlist (the blue square).
Every undergraduate student activated to enroll will have received information regarding the implementation of this new waitlist system, along with instructions regarding its use. It is as simple to use as the rest of the enrollment material online, and we hope it will make use of waitlists for full courses faster and easier for all of us.
Questions regarding specifics about the waitlist as it pertains directly to your choice of Economics courses may be directed to Susan Hering in the Undergraduate Office; questions about the general use of the new waitlist should go to the Curricular Services staff in the Office of the Registrar.
The paper form of the Economics Waitlist we have used in previous semesters will no longer be used, effective immediately. This Waitlist Information pertains only to classes entirely housed within the Department of Economics. Cross listed courses will have their waitlist procedure determined by their primary department.
