For administrative purposes, CDHA maintains databases containing (1) contact information for faculty and research affiliates, (2) project abstracts, funding sources, and other project-related information, and (3) an annotated bibliography. The information from these databases are used to populate pages on CDHA's website (e.g., information on the People and Projects pages, and the on-line project bibliography. This information is also incorporated into CDHA's annual report to NIA. In turn, NIA uses this information to demonstrate the quality of the work in which CDHA affiliate researchers are engaged and the importance of continued funding for aging-related extramural research in the behavioral and social sciences. In order to ensure that NIA, policy makers, the research
community, and the general public have up-to-date information on our affiliates'
research projects, and in order to allow us to respond quickly to unexpected
requests for information from NIA, it is very important that our databases
remain both complete and current. In order to make it easier for our affiliates
to submit information that CDHA and NIA need for administrative purposes,
CDHA has developed 3 web-based reporting forms that gather information
on affiliates' current and completed aging-related research projects,
aging-related publications, and contact information. These forms can be
accessed using the links below. This is a link to a directory of CDHA affiliates and staff. You can browse the entire directory or search the directory. The search function can also be used to generate a listing of on-campus affiliates, off-campus affiliates, affiliates located in Social Sciences Building, and the like. For example: To generate a sub-directory of on-campus affiliates, use the drop down menu to select the search field "Institution" and then type University of Wisconsin in the text box on the right. To generate a sub-directory of off-campus affiliates, use the drop down menu to select the search field "Off-campus affiliates" and leave the text box blank. This is a link to a web-based form that solicits contact information. If you are a new affiliate, you should submit a complete form. If you are updating existing contact information, you only need to fill out the fields that need to be updated. Please note that the database is, at this time, updated manually, so the changes you make in your contact information will not show up in the on-line directory right away. Every effort is made to update your information in a timely manner - usually 1-2 business days. This is a link to a web-based form that solicits information on affiliates' aging-related research. The importance of this information to CDHA and to NIA cannot be overestimated. If you are an affiliate conducting aging-related research and you do not see your project listed on the Project Abstracts page, please fill out and submit the "Project Reporting Form" in as much detail as possible. If you would like to update information about a project which already appears on the Project Abstracts page, you only need to fill out the fields on the report form that need to be updated. Please note that the database is updated manually, so the changes you make to your project report will not show up on the website right away. Every effort is made to update your project information in a timely manner - usually 1-2 business days. For purposes of CDHA's annual report to NIA, it is critical that we construct a complete and current bibliography of all aging-related publications for each affiliate. Affiliates are asked to generate and review a list of their publications and to update or correct these as needed. To generate a list of citations for your publications, go to this page, or click the link above. In the first box under the heading ‘Data to Locate’, type your last name. Click on ‘Start Search’, the first purple button on the left. A list of publications with your name will then come up. Please look through all the publications, going to the second page of search results if needed by clicking on the ‘Next Page’ button under the list of publications. If the ‘Next Page’ button is gray, you are already seeing all the publications we have for you. To update this list, use the link below. The web-based Project Publications form has been designed to elicit a complete citation and an abstract. If you would like to correct or update a citation that is already in the CDHA Project Bibliography, you only need to fill out the fields on the report form that need to be updated. If you are submitting a new citation, please provide as much information as you can. Please note that the database is updated manually, so the changes you make to your project report will not show up on the website right away. Every effort is made to update your project information in a timely manner - usually 1-2 business days.
