The staff provides the following services and resources to assist users in their search for appropriate and usable information. These services are provided primarily to CDE affiliates. Service to non-CDE affiliates is limited and provided at the staff's discretion. Information Finding: Library staff will locate specific information or resources, solve bibliographic problems, and help determine the best resources for information searches in print and electronic formats. Instruction: Library staff will give library tours, teach bibliographic search strategy skills for print and electronic resources, and Internet skills individually, to small groups, or to classes. This service is limited to CDE affiliates and the graduate level classes that they teach. Document Delivery: Library staff will obtain copies of journal articles and book chapters held elsewhere (on or off campus) for CDE faculty and staff. Requests may be placed in person or through Email. Internet: Information about the Center for Demography and Ecology is available at the main CDE Homepage. The Information Services staff maintain links to a variety of Internet based library and demographic resources. Use the tool bar on the left to access the links. Course Reserves: Library staff will assist CDE faculty by obtaining copies of items to be placed on reserve in the Social Science Reference Library for grad-level courses.
