CDE Information Services Collections and Resources The Print Library collection is cataloged in MadCat. Suggestions for acquisitons from CDE affiliates are welcome. Drop off fliers or reviews in the Library mailbox, or send email to jcarlson@ssc.wisc.edu. The print collection is available for use by anyone. Circulation however, is limited to UW-Madison faculty, staff, and graduate students in CDE, Anthropology, the Center for Demography of Health and Aging, Rural Sociology, Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Human Development and Family Studies, the Institute for Research on Poverty, the Institute on Aging and Adult Life, and Preventive Medicine. All users must provide information for a registration database. Core Collection: A working collection of resources on demographic research. Working paper series from major population research centers worldwide. Related holdings include aging, family studies, family planning, urban and rural development, economics, maternal and child health, migration and labor force participation, and methodology. Dictionaries, statistical yearbooks, atlases and almanacs are available for in-house reference. Periodicals: Subscriptions to over 115 journals and newsletters on population and demography. Census Collection: U.S. and other international censuses are available in print and CD-ROM. Theses and Dissertations: Depository for Masters theses and Doctoral dissertations of CDE graduates, faculty, and other selected demographic researchers. United Nations Publications: Population related publications from the United Nations. Vital Statistics of the U.S.: Statistics on natality, mortality, marriage, and divorce dating back to 1867. Vital and Health Statistics: Publications from the United States National Center for Health Statistics. Current Population Reports: Intercensal population survey results. Wisconsin Publications: Demographic information published by the State of Wisconsin. Software Manuals: Reserve manuals for software supported by SSCC. Reprints: Demographic journal articles, chapters from books and pamphlets not held in the main collection. See staff for assistance. CD-ROMs: Reference resources, such as 1990 Census data, American Community Survey, Statistical Abstract of the U.S., the City and County Data Book, the State and Metropolitan Area Data Book, and USA Counties.
