The Center for Demography and Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison turned 50 years old in 2012. To celebrate the occasion, we held a 1 1/2 day research symposium in Madison. The symposium brought people together from around the world to celebrate the history of CDE and the intellectual contributions of its members. Many thanks to those of you who attended and made the event a success, to those who generously donated to CDE or sponsored a students' participation, and to everyone for your contribution to our vibrant community.
